On to the review:

I usually look for 1 3/4 necks and I play a nylon string at least a few times a week, so when I saw the 1.88 nut width I wasn't concerned. I have to admit, though, it did take a bit of getting used to. With the V neck profile and the width of the thing, the first time I picked it up was a bit odd (like the sensation when you think you are about to drink water but it turns out to be vodka ahahah). The V neck feels more like those super thin shredder guitars than the beefy necks you see on some acoustics. Its on the other end of the spectrum for me and I'm getting used to it. The sound is not as boxy as my A&L but I certainly wouldn't describe it as powerful. It has a certain complexity to it that I didn't expect from a parlor at this price range, really good companion to my Sigma 000. It has less volume and bass than the 000, but has what I would describe as a more 'glassy' or 'clear' tone. We'll see what it does as the strings age a bit.

It's also my first all-solid acoustic, EIR back and sides with a sitka top. The price is considerably lower than what I'd expect for an all solid axe. I'd say it is definitely on the finishing that some money was saved. A lot can be 'hidden' in their 'antiqued' finish (its an open pore satin finish). The geometry of the thing is dead on and it has a good action at ~2.5mm (though I might lower it .5mm eventually). The nut and saddle are bone and I put on some D'addario PB custom lights and TUSQ pins (the aged plastic pins looked pretty awful). The antiqued look is not as tacky as I thought it might be, but the bronze looking tuners are definitely going to go at some point.

This guitar is not for the bling-averse: vine inlay on the fretboard, a fanned arrow motif on the headstock, Marquetry purfling and back stripe, abalone rosette etc... I know its not everyones cup of tea, but I think it looks fantastic. I'd recommend it to someone if they were interested, but at full price there might be some better options out there. I'm not very well versed in parlor guitars but at the price I got it for, I'm beyond happy with it!

Степень «старения» тела выражена в трехцветном пятне (вы можете сказать, что его три слои из звуковой ямы) и атласная отделка.
